Mike Huckabee Headed to Iowa
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is headed back to Iowa -- where he won the Republican presidential caucus in 2008.
Huckabee, who moved to Florida earlier in the year where he has been active in politics, will head to the Hawkeye State to speak to the Iowa Family Policy Center on Nov. 21.
Governor Huckabee is excited about the opportunity to travel back to Iowa, see his friends and speak at the IFPCs event, said Hogan Gidley, executive director of Huck PAC. However, after seeing recent communications and comments made by the Iowa Family Policy Center and its representatives, Huck PAC would like to clarify the purpose of the message Governor Mike Huckabee will be delivering on Nov. 21.
Gidley left no room for doubt that Huckabees visit had a political bent to it. .
The governor often speaks openly and unapologetically about his own personal Christian faith, but he doesnt want there to be any confusion as to the nature of this invitation, said Gidley. The speaking request was made through Governor Huckabees Political Action Committee. The governor was invited to speak about the political issues of the day and how they shape the culture of our country. His message will be political, but not partisan.
