Mike Hill Backs Mary Thomas to Take On Gwen Graham

State Rep. Mike Hill, R-Pensacola, a favorite of the tea party movement, endorsed Tallahassee attorney Mary Thomas for the Republican nomination to challenge U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham, D-Fla., in 2016.

Thomas is running against Panama City surgeon Dr. Neal Dunn in the Republican primary. While the state judiciary is currently handling congressional redistricting, Graham’s North Florida district is expected to favor the Republicans when the final lines are drawn.

"I endorse my fellow conservative Mary Thomas for Congress,” Thomas announced on Tuesday. “Mary is a wife, a mother, a Christian and a successful land use attorney. Mary shares my values on limited government, reigning in profligate spending and adhering to the Constitution. Mary will be a fresh, truly conservative voice who will actually represent the interests of the people of her district. Mary Thomas will fight for our shared conservative values in Washington and she will help save the American dream."
