MGM Resorts Scouting for Potential Casino Location in Jacksonville

Need a sign that the three destination resort casinos that would be allowed in a proposed legislative bill wont just set up in South Florida? Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts International is scouting for locations as far away from Miami-Dade County as Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Daily Record reports that With a bill pending in the Florida Legislature to allow the construction of three destination resort casinos in the state, one major player in the industry acknowledges that it has looked at possible sites in Jacksonville if the law allows it.

Were looking at a lot of areas in Florida to see what kind of opportunities might exist, Alan Feldman, senior vice president of public affairs for Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts International, is quoted by the Daily Record.
