Meek Brings Out Bill Clinton to Help Raise Funds

As the federal quarterly fundraising deadline of March 31 draws near, politicians across Florida running for Congress are scrambling to raise as much as possible this week.

U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek is bringing out the big guns, starting off with a fundraising email from Bill Clinton.

Saying that he met Meek back in 1992, Clinton wrote, We need him working with President Obama in the Senate on the toughest issues: from creating good jobs to providing more affordable health care to combating global warming.

Clinton also noted, Republican infighting has given him an opportunity to win that is better than ever, but fundraising numbers from this first quarter will show the pundits whether Kendrick can take advantage of it.
