Media Bias a Bigger Problem Than Large Campaign Contributions, Voters Say

Although an overwhelming majority of voters believe the wealthiest individuals still wield too much influence over politics, nearly half of them believe media bias is a larger issue in today's political world.

A new Rasmussen Reports poll found over half of voters -- 54 percent -- think the news media have too much power and influence in politics.

But when voters were given a choice, 48 percent of them still say media bias is a bigger problem in politics today than big campaign contributions.

A smaller number -- 44 percent -- believe large political contributions are a bigger problem.

The poll of 1,000 likely voters was conducted May 21-22.
