McCalister Welcomes Craig Miller to Senate Race

Col. Mike McCalister is facing Senate President Mike Haridopolos, former state Rep. Adam Hasner and former Gov. Charlie Crist chief of staff George LeMieux in the Republican primary race for the U.S. Senate, a group he refers to as the "Tallahassee triplets."

On Tuesday he was joined by Craig Miller, a fellow political outsider and former CEO of Ruth's Chris. McCalister seemed to welcome him with open arms, releasing the following statement:

"I'd like to be the first to welcome Craig Miller to the race.If he can campaign as well as he cooks steaks, then he will be a hearty foe," joked Col. Mike McCalister.

Col. McCalister continued, "Having traveled the state the last six months speaking to Republican county parties, Tea Party groups, and 9.12 Project organizations, I know that Florida conservatives are ready to send another hard-charging colonel to join Allen West in Washington.I look forward to continuing to demonstrate why my experience in the military and business world make me the best choice to take on Bill Nelson in next year's election."
