Martin O'Malley Hits South Beach for Art Basel Fundraiser
The world-renown Art Basel kicks off in Miami this week, drawing artists, art appreciators and celebrities alike, but the weeklong art festival will also bring in big bucks for politicians hosting fundraisers in the Magic City.
Democratic presidential hopeful Gov. Martin O'Malley, who served as Maryland's governor until the beginning of this year, will be heading to the home of celebrated academic Richard Florida and his wife Rana Wednesday to raise money for his 2016 campaign.
Miami mayor Manny Diaz will also co-host the event.
Seats at the fundraiser cost anywhere from $250-$2,700.
Richard Florida even promised Gov. O'Malley would join him to sing a few songs during the fundraiser. Recently, O'Malley showcased his musical talents on the view by belting out a rendition of Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood."
The fundraiser starts at 5 p.m.
