Marco Rubio's Struggles in Iowa Get National Attention
U.S. Sen. Marco Rubios, R-Fla., support of immigration reform in the Senate is hurting his chances for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. Robert Costa over at National Review headed out to Iowa, home of the first caucus, and asked conservatives what they thought of Rubio and found increasing disenchantment with the junior senator from Florida due to his stance on immigration reform.
One interesting point in Costas article. Since immigration reform passed the Senate at the end of June, Rubio has been concerned with other issues including ending abortion after 20 weeks and repealing President Barack Obamas health care law. Costa finds conservatives in Iowa are glad Rubio is fighting for these issues but thats not enough to make up for his support on immigration reform.
