Marco Rubio for Vice President? Inquiring Minds Want to Know
With all the frenzy over the shifting GOP so-called "front-runners," one thing that has remained constant is the chatter over who could be picked by the eventual nominee as the ticket's vice presidential candidate.
That was clearly evident on The Fix Live Friday morning, where it didn't take long for the focus to turn to Florida's own Republican darling, Sen. Marco Rubio.
Less than 10 minutes into the live question-and-answer session with Aaron Blake, a national political correspondent for the Washington Post, a reader posed the question: "Is Marco Rubio still the odds-on favorite for being the VP choice for either Santorum or Romney?"
Blake responded, "I think that maybe that's the case -- and my thinking on this has changed a bit -- but I also don't know that he's head-and-shoulders above his competitors. We always think we know who they'll pick, and then they pick someone like Cheney, Biden or Palin. It's a fun parlor game, but that's about it."
While other names have been lobbed into the national speculation game, this could be another example of Rubio's growing buzz.
