Marco Rubio Using National Attention to Push His Agenda

Florida Republican U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio told Roll Call on Wednesday that he is enjoying the media spotlight -- and buzz about future presidential or vice presidential ambitions -- since it means he is championing the right agenda.

If people want to pay attention to what I have to say because of the speculation? I havent thought about that, said Rubio. But I also hope its because we have something meaningful to contribute to this debate -- that well be a voice that has a meaningful role to play.

Every election cycle -- quite frankly, every six months in this process -- produces some flavor of the month, added Rubio. What ultimately matters is what youve done, how hard youve worked, the contribution youve made to the public debate.
