Marco Rubio Team Weighs in on Obama's Radio Ad for Kendrick Meek
With President Barack Obama headed to South Florida on Monday and cutting a new radio ad for U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, the Democratic nominee in the U.S. Senate race, the campaign team of Republican candidate Marco Rubio --the front-runner in the race --also looked to tie Meek to the increasingly unpopular president.
For nearly two years, Kendrick Meek has been a reliable rubber-stamp for the Obama agenda of higher taxes, wasteful spending, more debt and job-killing regulations, said Alex Burgos, a spokesman for Rubio. When President Obama needed a yes vote in the United States Congress for his anti-jobs proposals, Kendrick Meek was always there. So its not surprising that the White House would cut an ad for its favorite congressman. However, Floridians dont need a rubber-stamp in Congress but an alternative like Marco Rubio who is the only candidate who will fight to change the direction Washington is taking our country.
