Marco Rubio Team Lashes Out Again at Charlie Crist for Backing Stimulus
With Gov. Charlie Crist, running for the U.S. Senate without party affiliation, saying that he was not surprised there was wasted money in the federal stimulus, the campaign team of likely Republican nominee Marco Rubio is attacking the governor for backing the program in the first place.
Charlie Crist may say hes not surprised by stimulus waste, but for the over 1 million Floridians still looking for work, this admission is both stunning and another reason why the governor cant be trusted in Washington, said Alex Burgos, a spokesman for Rubio. Nearly 18 months ago, Crist promised more than 200,000 jobs, but instead 200,000 more Floridians are unemployed, more money has been wasted and more debt has been placed onto the backs of future generations. Marco Rubio is the only candidate Floridians can trust to go to Washington as a check-and-balance and alternative to the anti-growth policies of Barack Obama and Charlie Crist.
