Marco Rubio Team Blames Charlie Crist for Florida's Economic Stress

With a new article from the Associated Press ranking Florida as one of the most economically stressed states in the nation, the campaign team of Marco Rubio, the likely Republican nominee in the race for the open U.S. Senate seat, knows who to blame -- independent rival Gov. Charlie Crist.

When Charlie Crist came into office, he promised to strengthen the economy, but today we learn that yet another report lists Florida among the most economically stressed states in the nation, said Alex Burgos, a spokesman for Rubio. Whether its President Obama in Washington or Charlie Crist in Tallahassee, its clear that the economic prescription of wasteful stimulus spending, higher taxes, more debt, cap-and-trade energy taxes and bailouts has failed to create the jobs we desperately need. Marco Rubio is the only candidate Floridians can trust to go to Washington as a check-and-balance and offer a clear pro-jobs alternative.
