Marco Rubio Starts Petition Calling for Health-Care Repeal
Florida Republican U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio is reaching out to the grass-roots to take on the federal health-care law backed by President Barack Obama -- and building his own base.
Rubio sent out an e-mail to supporters on Sunday, calling for them to sign a petition asking for repeal of the law.
One year after the passing of Obamacare and the independent Congressional Budget Office estimates, it will cost our country more than 800,000 jobs over the next 10 years. Today, conservatives are leading the way to repeal and replace this job-killing law with free-market based principles, wrote Rubio. In 2010 voters across the country sent a clear message that the Obama agenda was taking America down a path that must be stopped. America is the most exceptional country in the world and it is time to reclaim the principles that make her exceptional.
Rubios team has set up a petition to repeal the law but, in order to sign it, you need to give your e-mail address. It looks like Rubio is trying to build his own nest of e-mail addresses of conservative activists.
