Conservative leader Bob Vander Plaats has emerged as a power broker in Iowa, home of the first presidential caucus, in recent election cycles. Vander Plaats helped former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania upset former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts in last years Iowa Republican caucus.
After organizing an event for religious and social conservatives this past weekend, Vander Plaats is starting to hint at his plans for 2016 -- and apparently they dont include U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. Vander Plaats is hinting that Rubio should stay out of 2016 and run for president in the future.
