Marco Rubio Doubles Down on Tom Cotton Over Mark Pryor

Using his Reclaim America PAC, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., looks to flex his political muscles on a national level in 2014 even as he continues mulling over a bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

Earlier this month, Rubio announced he was endorsing U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., to challenge U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., in 2014. This is Rubios first Senate endorsement of the 2014 election cycle.Rubio doubled down on his support of Cotton on Friday, urging supporters to contribute to the Arkansas Republicans campaign coffers before the end of the third quarter deadline on Tuesday.

Our nations strength is not in our government, but in our peoples resolve, Rubio wrote supporters on Friday. This week, my conservative colleagues and I have fought tirelessly in the Senate to defund Obamacare and concerned Americans all around the country have stood with us. But to make our absolute goal of repealing Obamacare a reality, we need the right leaders in the Senate. This begins with Tom Cotton.

Rubio plans to raise $10,000 for Cotton during the rest of the month.
