Marco Rubio Blames Obama for Continued Job Loss

Former House Speaker Marco Rubio, the Republican nominee in the U.S. Senate race, weighed in on Friday on a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showing continued job loss across the nation.

Rubio directed the blame onto the Obama administration.

"Behind this unemployment report is the real tragedy of millions of willing workers who can't find jobs because Washington has created a climate of paralyzing uncertainty for the real job creators in America, said Rubio. "Across Florida, employers keep telling me that they're holding back on new investment and job creation because the policies coming out of Washington are making it harder.

"America's business men and women are worried about the crippling effect of more debt, higher taxes, Obamacare's regulations and 1099 tax compliance, among other burdens, added Rubio. Our state and nation need leaders who will go to Washington, stand up to its big spending culture and offer a clear alternative.

Rubio called for the extension of tax cuts from George W. Bushs first term to help speed Americas economic recovery.

"During this campaign, I have proposed a set of ideas that go hand in hand to cut spending and help create jobs, said Rubio. I believe we urgently need to begin by tackling our dangerously high debt and eliminate the uncertainty surrounding the 2001 and 2003 tax rates that are set to expire on Jan. 1.
