Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush Doing Fine With Wyoming Republicans Despite Immigration Reform

Wyoming held its Republican presidential caucus right before Super Tuesday during the 2012 election cycle. Mitt Romney scored a victory there with 39 percent followed by Rick Santorum with 32 percent.

Harper Polling released a poll of likely Wyoming Republican primary voters on Friday which found no favorite in the state as the GOP turns toward nominating a presidential candidate in 2016. A third of those surveyed -- 33 percent -- are not sure, while U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin is the favorite of 15 percent followed by U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky with 12 percent. Two candidates from Florida -- former Gov. Jeb Bush and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio -- are tied along with Gov. Chris Christie with 10 percent each.

The rest of the field lags in single digits. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas takes 5 percent followed by Santorum with 3 percent. Two sitting governors barely register in the poll, with Bobby Jindal of Louisiana getting 2 percent and Scott Walker of Wisconsin pulling 1 percent.

While he might be in the mix in Wyoming, Rubios immigration reform plan is very unpopular with Republicans in that state, with 66 percent opposing it and 22 percent supporting it.

The poll of 422 likely Wyoming Republican primary voters was taken from July 17-18 and had a margin of error of +- 4.77 percent.
