Majority of Americans Behind Arizona Immigration Law, Rasmussen Poll Shows

While the national media is focused on the looming U.S. Supreme Court decision regarding the federal health-care that President Barack Obama signed in 2010, the fate of another constitutional challenge should be decided this week--the case against the Arizona immigration law.

A new poll from Rasmussen Reports unveiled on Monday shows that a majority of Americans--55 percent--hope that the Court lets the Arizona law stand while 26 percent say they hope it is overturned. Almost a fifth of the voters surveyed--19 percent--remain on the fence.

The poll of 1,000 likely voters was taken from June 21-22 and had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.
