Little Wonder It's No Longer the Largest Newspaper in Florida

Those wise heads at the Miami Herald editorial board don't appear so smart after all. The Ivory Tower on Biscayne Boulevard issued a "challenge" to U.S. Senate candidate Charlie Crist "to explain to voters what's at his core." The editors might as well have asked a chameleon to divulge its true color.

For their "challenge," the Herald's opinionmakers come off as terminally obtuse or hopelessly naive. If they don't know by now that Crist is a craven, consummate politician who changes positions with the wind, they really need to get out more and stop insulting the intelligence of their remaining readers.

But let's be fair. The editorial does serve to raise one pertinent question. Who's the bigger bloviator: Crist or the Herald editorial board?
