Likely 2012 GOP Presidential Hopeful Rick Santorum Heading to South Carolina

Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania is burning up the campaign trail as he gets ready for the 2012 elections. With each passing day, it appears the conservative Santorum is increasingly likely to enter the potentially crowded Republican presidential field.

After making his seventh trip to New Hampshire earlier in the week, Santorum announced that he would be heading to South Carolina -- another crucial primary state. This marks the seventh time that Santorum has visited the Palmetto State this year. Hell be hitting Charleston on Sunday and Monday, meeting with a number of key Republicans.

Another sign that Santorum is doubling down his bets on 2012? His team announced hell be heading out to Iowa later in December.
