'Let's Get To Work' Pulls in $175,100 in Two Weeks for Rick Scott
The gap between Gov. Rick Scotts re-election effort and the currently filed 2014 gubernatorial field -- along with anyone else considering a run -- continues to widen as the organization raising money for his campaign pulled in $175,100 in the past two weeks.
Lets Get to Work, a registered electioneering communications organization, chaired by longtime Tallahassee lobbyist John French, had only three contributors during the July 7-20 filing period, with Indian Creek Village homemaker Juliette Blufstein giving $25,000 and the Orlando-based Florida Realtors Advocacy Fund advancing the fund $150,000.
The remaining $100 came from Scott's mother, Esther Scott, who is listed as an investor.
Since Jan. 1, the committee has raised $3.94 million.
Florida Senate Minority Leader Nan Rich, D-Sunrise, who joined the race in April, has raised $41,392.
