Lenny Curry: Voter Fraudster Wendy Rosen Must Be Prosecuted
Wendy Rosen, a Democrat running for Congress from Maryland, illegally registered and voted in both Maryland and Florida. The case is widely public, it isn't in question and Republican Party of Florida Chairman Lenny Curry wants to see her prosecuted.
Florida officials have announced they are conducting a criminal investigation.
"Law enforcement officials need to prosecute Rosen, subject her to the full force of our justice system, and send a clear message that Florida will not tolerate illegal activity in our elections," Curry said Thursday. "This blatant and brazen fraud by Rosen is simply the latest evidence that election fraud exists and there are people in our nation who will not play by the rules."
Curry called on U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson to conduct a hearing.Florida statute defines both illegal voting and illegal voter registration as "a felony of the third degree." These felonies carry the possibility of years in prison.
"The case of Wendy Rosen revealed a real problem with voter registration fraud," Curry explained. "If Nelson is sincere about fighting election fraud, he should immediately call on the Senate to convene hearings to explore how we might learn from the Rosen case and ensure voter integrity moving forward."
