LeMieux Writes Obama: 'Is There a Light at the End of the Tunnel?'

U.S. Senate candidate George LeMieux fired off a letter to President Barack Obama, using the White House occupants planned fundraising trip to Orlando on Tuesday to pose five statement-like questions.

In the letter, LeMieux, who is going up against three others for the Republican nomination, welcomed Obama to Florida, but added that hes hearing the same thing from people at every campaign stop across Florida.

"Everywhere I go, Floridians ask me 'Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?'" LeMieux stated.

Here areLeMieux's five questions:

Regarding Obamacare: When drafting your namesake legislation, did you foresee the immense burden it would place on businesses and job creators across America?

Regarding Dodd-Frank: Did you foresee the problems small businesses -- in good standing -- would have receiving necessary loans to grow their operations?

Regarding stimulus spending: When enacting $800 billion in unproductive spending, did you consider the long-term effects the growing national debt has on our children and grandchildren?

Regarding the reappointment of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke: Did you think about the ramifications of reappointing an advocate of a weak U.S. dollar?

Regarding the appointment of federal czars: Do you still believe that the appointment of an unelected and unconfirmed bureaucrat should have the authority to unilaterally implement federal rules?

"I look forward to your response?" LeMieux concluded.

LeMieux is battling former U.S. Rep. Adam Hasner of Boca Raton, retired Army Col. Mike McCalister and former Ruth's Chris Steakhouse CEO Craig Miller for the GOP senate nomination.

Obama is scheduled to have an afternoon fundraiserat the downtown Sheraton and one in the evening at the Lake Mary home of attorney John Morgan that is being co-sponsored by a number of big-name athletes, including Patrick Ewing, Ken Griffey Jr., and Grant Hill.
