LeMieux Calls for Feds to Embrace Technology to Fight Medicaid Fraud

Former U.S. Sen. George LeMieux, who is running in a crowded Republican primary to take on Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, is trumpeting the fact that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will be usingpredictive modeling technology to fight Medicare fraud -- an issue LeMieux fought for in his brief stint in the Senate.

I am thrilled that this common-sense technology is being implemented to help preserve Medicare and save taxpayers billions, said LeMieux, who noted that while cracking down on fraud wont solve the problem, it will save taxpayers tens of millions. LeMieux has called for the greater use of technology used by the credit card industry to fight fraud in Medicare. I look forward to returning to the Senate to continue leading on these issues.
