Leading Conservative in Congress Heading to Florida This Weekend
The Hillsborough County Republican Party is kicking off its second summer dinner series Friday with Congressman Trent Franks of Arizona as speaker. First elected in 2002, Franks is consistently ranked as one of the most conservative members of Congress. He earned a perfect 100 score from the American Conservative Unions congressional rankings and was listed by National Journal as the most conservative member of Congress for 2009.
Deborah Cox-Roush, currently serving with the Hillsborough County Republicans as well as vice-chairwoman of the Republican Party of Florida, said the next speaker in the series would be Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum.
Franks will be speaking in Tampa at the Alfano Conference & Banquet Center on Friday night. Hell continue his swing through Florida talking to Seminole County Republicans and will join Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite, Congressman Adam Putnam and Marco Rubio at the Lake County Lincoln/Reagan Dinner on Saturday night at the Mission Inn Resort at Howey-in-the-Hills.
