John Rood, a former U.S. ambassador and ex-friend of Charlie Crist, has filed a second lawsuit against his estranged pal, this time alleging the governor is violating Florida's public-records law.
The Jacksonville businessman filed a series of public-records requests with the governor's office, seeking documents pertaining to, among other things, Crist's veto of Senate Bill 6 and his decision to run for U.S. Senate as a No Party Affiliation candidate.
When Rood received no response to his Aug. 25 requests, he filed a complaint with the Circuit Court in Leon County Thursday, seeking an expedited hearing on the matter.
