Kosmas Tries to Morph Adams into Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell

Well, that didnt take long.

With Christine ODonnell winning the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in an upset in Delaware on Tuesday, Democratic U.S. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas sent out an e-mail to supporters on Wednesday trying to link her Republican opponent, Rep. Sandy Adams of Oviedo, to ODonnell.

With last night's nomination of Sarah Palin's favorite candidate, Christine O'Donnell, in Delaware, one thing has become perfectly clear: the far right is trying to take over the country one congressional seat at a time, wrote Kosmas in the e-mail. We cannot let people like Sarah Palin, Christine O'Donnell and Sandy Adams advance their strange ideas or undo the progress we have made.

With Tea Party-backed candidates like O'Donnell and Adams in charge, you can be sure that right-wing priorities like privatizing Social Security or taking away your right to vote for U.S senators will be at the top of the agenda, added Kosmas. As we have already seen, shadowy right-wing groups are funneling their undisclosed funding into Central Florida in an effort to help their fringe candidates.

On Tuesday, former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, who serves as chairman of the Democratic National Committee, and U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the South Florida congresswoman who serves as a vice-chairwoman of the DNC, blasted Republicans for trying to morph every Democratic candidate into President Barack Obama or U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Less than 24 hours after Kaine and Wasserman-Schultz made that statement, Kosmas is trying to morph Adams into Palin and ODonnell.
