Kendrick Meek Campaign Team Tries to Link Charlie Crist and Marco Rubio to RPOF Scandals
Mired in third place in the polls behind independent Gov. Charlie Crist and GOP candidate Marco Rubio, U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, one of their Democratic rivals in the race for the U.S. Senate, hopes to link his two foes to the continuing legal problems surrounding the Republican Party of Florida.
"With every new development in the case against Jim Greer, Governor Crist becomes more entangled in the Republican Party of Florida mess, said Meek spokesman Adam Sharon. This is a made-in-Tallahassee scandal produced by the Republican Party of Florida and no member of the party leadership team is untainted, and that includes Kendrick's two lifelong conservative opponents Governor Charlie Crist and Speaker Marco Rubio. Governor Crist is trying unsuccessfully to run away from the mess he created, but the governor is too involved in this matter to claim ignorance.
