Kendrick Meek Campaign Counting Down Until Jeff Greene Files Campaign Finance Forms
U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meeks camp is counting down until Thursday, when its chief rival for the Democratic nomination in the U.S. Senate race, Jeff Greene, has to file his campaign finance report.
"At every turn, 'Meltdown Mogul' Jeff Greene has avoideddisclosing anything about his past, said Adam Sharon, Meeks communications director, on Monday. He has refused to release his tax returns, evaded questions about profiting from bailouts, and lied about his ties to Florida and his Republican past. Jeff Greene made hundreds of millions of dollars off the backs of middle-class families, and Floridians still don't have a clue who he is. Instead of being straight with Floridians, he relies on an endless stream of campaign ads that paper over his past. As his campaign's first filing deadline nears, Greene will be forced to provide the first glimmer of transparency from his senate bid.
The Meek team is also counting down until July 23 -- when Greene has to file forms on his personal finances.
