Kathy Castor Announces USF Gets Largest Obamacare Navigator Grant in the Nation

On Thursday, U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Fla., announced the University of South Florida (USF) is getting the largest “navigator” grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to enroll Americans into President Barack Obama’s federal health-care insurance. 

USF garnered the largest navigator grant last year and is receieving more than $500,000 more this time out with the new grant totaling $5,912,400.

“USF and its trusted and independent team of navigators have established a successful model for the nation to follow and as a result helped Florida lead the nation last year in the number of sign-ups for the Affordable Care Act," said Castor. “This grant will build upon on our past successful enrollment efforts to assist consumers in selecting the best quality, health care plan for themselves and their families.”
