Karen Harrington Takes Aim at Debbie Wasserman-Schultz

Having defeated Robert Lowry and Donna Milo for the Republican nomination to take on Democratic U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in November, restaurant owner Karen Harrington took aim at the incumbent and Democrats in Washington.

With the primary now behind us, it is time for us to unify as a party and advance our ideas, our principles, and the agenda that we believe is essential for restoring accountability and fiscal responsibility back to our federal government," said Harrington.

"The voters of Congressional District 20 will have a very clear choice inNovember, added Harrington.A choice between a small-business owner and committed taxpayer advocate who believes in limited government, stopping our reckless deficit spending, cutting wasteful congressional perks, and enacting a real reform of our health care system that expands consumer choices and respects patient rights; and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is a committed partisan and foot-soldier for President Obama's reckless and divisive agenda that has failed our country in every respect. Voters will not forget how Debbie ignored the will of the people by aggressively supporting the federal government's takeover of the health care system, and Debbie remains clueless about the true state of our local economy and under what circumstances job creation will actually take place in South Florida. This November, we shall see just how supportive the voters of District 20 are of the big-government policies that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz supports -- policies that have seriously harmed small businesses and stifled job creation across the district.

"Limited government has made America the freest and most prosperous nation in all of human history, but there are far too many in our political class like Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who do not respect the will of the people or constitutional limitations on government power, concluded Harrington. I will never abandon the principles and ideas that have made America great, and I will make our case without apology to the voters of Congressional District 20.
