Judge Tells RPOF to Reschedule Request to Dismiss Greer's Lawsuit
Circuit Judge Alan Dickey advised attorneys for the Republican Party of Floridathey must schedule a full hour for a hearing at a later date as they asked Thursday to have former chairman Jim Greers lawsuit thrown out.
The judge told state GOP attorneys Steven Andrews, Stephen Dobson and Ken Sukhia all from Tallahassee -- how they could schedule a full hour for a hearing later, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting. He then unzipped the top of his robe to show them his Florida Gator necktie, made a joke about how bleak life is in Tallahassee for Gator fans, then pronounced, Gentlemen, this hearing is over.
Greer contends the party cheated him out of a $123,000 severance package when he was ousted from office last year.
