Judge Nazaretian Heading to the 13th Judicial Circuit Court
Gov. Rick Scott appointed Judge Nick Nazaretian of Tampa to the 13th Judicial Circuit Court.
Judge Nazaretians service for the past nine years on the county court and during temporary duty on the circuit court has well-prepared him for elevation to the position of circuit court judge, Scott stated in a release. His extensive courtroom experience throughout his 25-year legal career, as well as his careful attention to the rule of law, will serve the 13th Judicial Circuit well.
According to a release from the governors office:
Judge Nazaretian, 49, has served as a Hillsborough County Court judge since 2001. Previously, he practiced with Griffen and Associates from 2000 to 2001. From 1990 to 2000, he served as a division chief for the Hillsborough state attorneys office, and from 1987 to 1990 he was a felony trial attorney with the Pinellas public defenders office.
"Judge Nazaretian received a bachelors degree from the University of South Florida and a law degree from Nova Southeastern University.
Judge Nazaretian will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Wayne S. Timmerman.
