John Bolton Slams Door on Presidential Campaign

Former Ambassador John Bolton, best known for his tenure as President George W. Bushsambassador to the United Nations, announced on Tuesday that he would not seek the Republican presidential nomination. While Bolton had said he was considering the possibility of running, he had done next to nothing in terms of setting up a campaign.

While I have decided not to seek nomination, know that I will strive to keep national security front and center in 2012 election, Bolton posted on his Twitter account on Tuesday night. Thank you to supporters! I am honored and humbled. Know that I will continue to be a voice to promote national security. Our job isn't done.
