John Bolton Backs Ron DeSantis for Congress

Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton announced on Wednesday that he was backing Ron DeSantis for the Republican nomination in the new congressional district hugging the Atlantic Coast between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach.

"I'm happy to endorse Ron DeSantis for U.S. Congress," Bolton said in a statement. "Ron is a champion for constitutionally limited government, individual liberty and a strong national defense. As a Navy officer and Iraq veteran, Ron understands the need for strong U.S. leadership in the world. We need to send conservatives like Ron to Congress so that we can rebuild our military and repair the damage wrought by the Obama administration.

"I'm grateful for the support of Ambassador John Bolton," DeSantis replied. "Ambassador Bolton is the leading authority on foreign affairs and national security in the Republican Party and in the conservative movement.It's an honor to have such a dedicated conservative leader standing with our campaign."
