Joe Biden Postpones Visit to UCF

Vice President Joe Biden has postponed his visit to the University of Central Florida, according to a statement from the White House Press Office.

Biden was scheduled to make an appearance at the Orlando-based university Thursday to speak about President Obama's proposal to make college more affordable, and to develop a ratings system to gauge colleges' costs and quality. Federal aid would then be tied to the results.

The White House Press Office did not provide a specific reason why Biden would be postponing his visit to UCF, but some speculate the president's efforts to reel Congress in to vote on military action in Syria may be why Biden will be a no-show in Orlando this week.
