Joe Biden Campaign Tour Heading to Florida Senior Centers
Vice President Joe Biden will visit senior centers in Florida next week, with a campaign focused on the White Houses position on Medicare and the soon-to-be-released Republican budget plan, CNN reported Monday.
Aside from lauding the administration's handling of Medicare, Biden will hit the tax plan offered by Republican Representative Paul Ryan, the chairman of the House Budget Committee, CNN reported.
No appearance locations for Biden were announced.
Democratic officials said the campaign planned this roll-out in March because they thought there would be a GOP nominee at this point in the nomination process, CNN stated. The officials said they didn't want to wait until May or June to begin responding to the GOP's attacks and drawing contrasts with GOP positions.
The senior center tour follows an announcement last week that Biden would deliver the commencement address at Cypress Bay High School in Weston on June 4.
