Jeremy Ring Says He Hasn't Received 24 Speeding Tickets -- Only 6
Could Maria Sachs be whizzing past Jeremy Ring as the Senate's gold medalist for driving violations?
Sen. Ring, D-Margate, took a break from a hectic Senate session to inform Sunshine State News that the original Scripps Florida Investigative Team report, which said Ring has received 24 tickets, is incorrect. Ring says he's actually only received six tickets since he started driving, but provided no further clarification beyond an updated number.
If true, Sachs and her lead foot could muscle their way into the lead spot for the highest number of infractions received by a Florida senator.
SSN will keep you updated once we hear back from Sen. Ring.
Update: Ring, who told SSN he spoke with Scripps earlier today, says the investigative team pulled his entire driving record, which not only includes speeding tickets but other infractions, including SunPass violations and accidents.
SSN reached out to the Scripps Investigative Team who confirmed they pulled legislators' entire records, which include citations for speeding as well as other infractions.
