Jeff Greene Threatens to Sue the St. Pete Times

Last week the St. Petersburg Times printed a story connecting Jeff Greene to a man now being investigated for mortgage fraud. Greene had sold him a building complex previously.

Greene called the story libelous, saying that he's not responsible for the actions of the person who purchased the building from him.

"So you can be sure that if they don't print a retraction, there will absolutely be a lawsuit filed," Greene said. "And it will be a substantial lawsuit, because I am a high net-worth individual who does earn a lot of money, and if my reputation is damaged the St. Petersburg Times will be held accountable."
