Jeff Greene Thinks Last Night's Results Show Meek is Doomed
Jeff Greene, the billionaire real estate investor running for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate, says that last nights election results shows that voters are fed up with established politicians.
Last nights results are proof positive of how frustrated and fed up voters are with politics as usual and the career politicians who have failed us, said Greene. Im fed up too -- thats why we launched this campaign to shake up Washington, create jobs and get real results for the people of Florida.
With veteran U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter going down to defeat in the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania and Tea Party favorite Rand Paul winning the Republican nod for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky, incumbents had a rough night on Tuesday -- and Greene insists this will help his campaign.
Greene added that this climate will hurt his chief rival for the Democratic nomination, Congressman Kendrick Meek.
Meeks record of seeking taxpayer money for a corrupt campaign contributor, helping cause the housing crisis by taking money from lenders, failing to regulate the market, and peddling loans to people who couldnt afford them, and getting paid while in the state legislature from a company that had business before the state, makes Meek unelectable, said Greene.
