Jeff Greene Lashes Out at GOP for Blocking Unemployment Extension

Billionaire investor Jeff Greene, running for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate, took a break from attacking U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, his chief rival in the primary, to blast Republicans in Washington for blocking a vote on extending federal unemployment benefits.

"Congress isn't creating the jobs fast enough to help Americans get back on their feet, and now Republican senators refuse to extend the one single lifeline that millions of Americans rely on to pay their mortgages, put food on the table and support their families, said Greene. It's unimaginable that Republicans would abandon millions of Americans at a time when they need help the most."
