Jeff Greene Attacks Kendrick Meek on Jobs, Unemployment in New Ad
Well, that didn't take long. After sending a letter to U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek -- his chief competitor for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination -- on Monday morning, warning that the race was going to get nastier, billionaire financier Jeff Greene took aim at his rival.
Greene released a new television ad, trashing Meek and blaming the congressman for Floridas continuing high unemployment.
In the final weeks of this primary, I will continue to campaign across the state on the issues Floridians care about, but I will not let vicious personal attacks against my character go unanswered, wrote Greene to Meek. I am responding quickly, forcefully and truthfully.
The "truthfully" part will be debated of course, but Greene is certainly correct on the "quickly" and "forcefully" part. With a little over a month to go until the primary, this race is getting nastier by the minute.
How will Meek respond? Stay tuned to Sunshine State News tomorrow for further coverage.
