Jeff Atwater: Convention Off to "Extraordinarily Strong" Start

Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater says Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's manner of speaking to individual entrepreneurs is the right approach for Florida.

I think last nights kickoff was extraordinarily strong, so I think were off to a good start, Atwater said while on FOX Business News early Wednesday.

Atwater, a surrogate for the Romney campaign, defended the messages delivered by Ann Romney and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Tuesday night.

And Atwater expects vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan of Wisconsin to be frank while giving a long-term sustainable outlook for America.

I think people across America, who are seeing more and more be filtered through a government system and so little coming back in a ways that are value added, theyre going to be impressed with his specificity, his calculations and his directness.
