Janet Cruz: We Should Have Physically Beaten Legislators Last Week

Legislative matters didn't end harmoniously in Tallahassee last week, and one state lawmaker is so disgruntled over the lack of agreement on congressional maps that she believes legislators should have been physically beaten over the ordeal.

POLITICO's Marc Caputo retweeted a violent video late Thursday evening of a woman beating a man with a car seat in the middle of the street. In the video, the woman is joined by another woman who also hits the man with a baseball bat, chanting "Crack his head!" as the woman wielding the carseat delivers blow after blow to the helpless man.

Rep. Janet Cruz, D-Tampa, was quick on the response, wasting no time in putting the video in a legislative context.

"Should have used the car seat slap on a few legislators last week," she wrote.
