Jaguars QB David Garrard and Ander Crenshaw Work to Fight Crohn's Disease
Jacksonville Jaguars starting QB David Garrard is probably feeling a bit uncomfortable since the team traded up to draft Blaine Gabbert in the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday night -- and already some fans are calling for the rookie to start next year.
Despite that, Garrard will be teaming up with Republican U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw and the North Florida Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America on Sunday in the Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis Walk in Jacksonville.
Garrard, who suffers from Crohns disease, will be meeting with fellow patients and taking part in the event which will raise funds to educate and provide further medical research for the diseases which impact almost 1.4 million Americans and almost 90,000 Floridians. Crenshaw, accompanied by his wife Kitty (who is the daughter of the always colorful former Gov. Claude Kirk), will also be on hand for the event which will start at 4 p.m. in the Jacksonville Landing.
