IRS Looking for Cut of Some BP Claims Money

If you're seeking money from BP for lost wages, you might not like today's news.

The Internal Revenue Service says it has the right to tax lost wage claims submitted to the oil giant, the Associated Press is reporting. Payments for physical injuries and lost payments will be exempt, though. BP has received 20,431 economic loss claims in general in Florida and has paid out approximately $17.9 million.
