Invoking Wisconsin, New Chamber Radio Ad Hammers Government Union Tactics
The Florida Chamber of Commerce has unveiled a new radio ad, comparing events in Florida to the struggle over state union employee benefits in Wisconsin.
Government unions bring their Wisconsin-style bully tactics to three Central Florida lawmaker offices today Representative Chris Dorworth (R-Heathrow), Representative Scott Plakon (R-Longwood), and Representative Jason Brodeur (R-Oviedo), says the narrator in the new spot. Protestors grappling for power and money are targeting lawmakers like Representatives Dorworth, Plakon and Brodeur because government unions dont want to share in the sacrifices that businesses and families across Florida are making.
Despite strong education gains that have propelled Floridas schools from 31st to fifth in the nation, government union members are intent on shifting away from progress, accountability and sustainability in favor of status quo, and not sharing in the sacrifice, continues the ad. In response to these staged government union protests, the Florida Chamber of Commerce today released the following radio advertisement to expose these Wisconsin-style bully tactics. This spot is running on Central Florida radio stations.
