Ileana Ros-Lehtinen Showcases GOP Bills to Rein in Fed Government

This week in Washington, Republicans in control of the U.S. House will be pushing 10 bills in an attempt to rein in the federal government, including a bill preventing the IRS from enacting President Barack Obamas health care law, preventing the IRS from targeting groups due to their politics, improving federal customer service, and making the government more transparent.

U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., said she supported these bills.

The American people are sick and tired of Washington scandals and federal mismanagement, she said on Monday. Each of these bills is meant to restore the confidence that the taxpayer has in the government. I am pleased that our GOP Conference has begun this important work and I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to produce bipartisan bills that will restore trust in government and control federal mismanagement.
