ICUF President Takes on National Leadership Role

Ed Moore, the president of the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida, was tabbed to serve as the vice chairman of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities State Executives and will take over as chairman in 2013. The national organization, which was founded in 1976, represents more than 1,100 private colleges and universities.

I am extremely honored and humbled to be selected to serve on the board of such an effective and respected higher education advocacy association, said Moore in a statement on Wednesday. I look forward to working with the rest of the NAICUSE board to further the goals of the organization in pursuit of a better future for Floridas students.
